Skills centre
Unfortunately, many of our children are unable to pursue further studies after secondary school because they do not have enough points. This is why we have started a small-scale initiative offering practical skills to teenagers who have finished school but cannot go on to study. These teenagers follow a program where they receive lessons from 8:00 to 10:00 in various subjects that help them in their personal development. After 10:00, they are taught practical skills.
Hope Garden
The Hope Garden is our agricultural project. Its goal is to teach young people agricultural skills and to provide healthy food for the children in our programs. Additionally, we sell the vegetables to generate some income for Lighthouse and also donate vegetables to the community.
Needlework project
The needlework project focuses on the mothers of children in our programs, as well as on girls who are no longer attending school. During the training, they learn sewing skills. The products they create are sold to generate income for Lighthouse, and the mothers who help also receive a small compensation.
Metal & Woodworking
The teenagers learn to work with different machines and tools, making various products from wood and metal. You can see them visibly enjoying the process, especially when they finish their projects. They feel incredibly proud of the final product.
